A Case For Business Class Travel

If you can afford it, be sure to try out business class travel. Business class flights is an experience altogether. They say once you travelled business class, you will never go back to economy. When you want to travel in style, these are the flights you are looking for. However due to the cost of this service, it is out of the range of many people.

Sadly, these is a risk the business class travel may become extinct. This is due to the fact that these flights are more expensive than economy class and with everything that's been happening with the economy and the cost of fuel increasing. There are already suspension of business class flights due to insufficient demand. It has been said that there is simply no room for a business class airline in Australia especially since there are already lot of cheap airline flights available that can count as business by some standards. Why opt for a more expensive flight when you can have a flight at a lower cost?

However, there are some airlines, who are already offering budget business class flights which could be the answer to travelling business class on a budget. In this way, you get the best of both worlds. You get wider leg room, extra seat recline. You can even get personal video screens, adjustable headrests, more luggage allowances and armrest laptop power ports. Of course this will depend if the airlines offer these features. This can vary depending on the airline. But you can always depend on better food and wine than what economy class is being offered!

The Various Stages of Acne

Acne (also known as pimples) is common among people who have oily skin. Though these don't appear on the face throughout the lifetime but there are certain stages in your life when the chances of acne appearing on your face are highest.

The stages are either when you are moving from the phase of puberty to teenage or when you are climbing up the ladder of your life and have crossed forty's. The primary reason behind the emergence of acnes is the change in hormonal activity. Due to this, oil glands present beneath skin produce large amount of oil than normal.

The excessive amount of oil which skin is not able to absorb clogs the pores which are present in the skin as skin try to ooze out the extra oil produced. As a result of this activity body sends autoimmune response and white blood cells present in blood comes at the place where the pores are clogged. Due to nature of oil white blood cells are unable to perform their role and this lead to formation of acne as white blood cells absorb some oil and stay there. Due to increase in size they are unable to move. The dense mass of dead white blood cells solidifies to form what we call as acne.

Though the life span of acne is rather small, usually less than ten days but in some extreme cases it can take bit longer to disappear till the hormonal activity is restored. As people, both aged and teenagers are unable to do anything, they get stressed and in rare cases, depressed. But care must be taken not to touch acnes, zits or pimples hardly as they can leave a permanent mark on your face which looks worse.

During teenage, this is not only the change occurring in the body. You get attracted towards opposite sex. During this period, there is a strong desire to look smart and clean but acnes tend to become hindrance in this motive. Thus, teenagers of both sexes seem depressed when acne appears on their face.

There is no need to get depressed and one must understand that this is a natural activity over which no one has his control. The same is with the people over forty in age. This activity is not in their hands and hence shouldn't get depressed if acne appear on their face. In many cases, acne is prominent during the post menstrual phase in women.

If acne is a problem, there is a solution to it. But mostly teenagers get impatient on the appearance of acne and older people look this activity with suspicion as why spots are emerging after such a long gap of their life. They tend to get stressed thinking if something is wrong with their body. But for both age groups it is advised that they should act sensibly as there are many ways to fight the problem of acne. The need is to stay clean. Clean your face many times a day and take daily bath. These are some precautions with which you can easily fight the menace of acne.

In the medical world today there is a lot of debate about whether your diet has an effect on acne. Many medical professionals say that the foods you eat do not have an effect. However, anecdotal evidence seems to say otherwise. Most people who suffer from acne will tell you that their skin gets worse if they consume certain foods (such as chocolate, curry or sugary snacks)

Why would this be? In the case of sugary foods, I believe the problem is caused by an insulin/hormone spike as excessive blood sugar causes insulin to be released. Eating foods like chocolate or drinking things like fizzy drink causes your blood sugar to spike and thus more insulin is released. This causes your body to produce other hormones to keep the balance and then your skin feels the full effect. Hormonal changes are one of the biggest causes of acne.

To see proof of my theory we only need to look at countries where a non-Western, "hunter-gatherer" diet is eaten. Acne is all but unheard of in these countries. However, in countries where a Western diet consisting of refined carbohydrates, processed meats and sugary snacks is eaten acne is a massive problem. Just think about it for a second and then it will hit you - diet has a massive effect on your skin! If this wasn't so then why are Westerners so much more prone to acne? Or is acne what defines us as Westerners? I think not!

Now that we've got that out of the way here are some simple things you can do to eat a lower GI/lower sugar, lower processed meat containing diet -

* Eat brown rice instead of white rice. Brown rice takes a few minutes longer but is far healthier, contains more nutrients and doesn't send such a massive spike of sugar around your bloodstream.

* Don't eat potato - ever! Potatoes are one of the biggest culprits in my opinion as they are simply a store of carbohydrate, nothing else. Eating a potato causes a massive insulin spike throughout your system so if you're looking for a healthier alternative try sweet potato (yes it sounds stupid but sweet potato is actually healthier for you!)

* Replace white bread with brown bread - White bread is like pure carbohydrate. Eat brown bread instead as it far less processed and contains healthy grains and other nutrients.

* Don't eat bacon, ham, salami or sausage - All these meats are highly processed and are just plain unhealthy. Try eating fish or chicken or beef instead (as long as it is not processed)

Changing your diet is easily one of the best homemade acne treatments around. Without a good diet there is no point in spending money on other acne treatments as you won't have a healthy body to apply them to!

If there were a way to elevate your ability to stretch beyond your own self-imposed constraints (and even the opinion of others), you'd want to know how, right?

When you feel strong and secure to explore your beliefs, you often discover the ability to challenge the old beliefs that no longer serve you. You can boost your confidence level, and it starts by first becoming aware of the emotional limits you might be accepting. Then, you can begin going beyond those limits in your physical goals, in your personal relationships, and in your spiritual path.

You can help yourself:

  • Raise awareness of your own self-talk (both positive and negative)
  • Leverage self-talk to learn and grow
  • Lift your confidence level for a more positive self-image
  • Laugh more at yourself
  • Take full responsibility for choices in life, without blaming, justifying or rationalizing your actions
  • Inspire others with your life

5 Suggestions for Taking Action:

  1. The first step is awareness. Once you recognize negative thoughts, say (either aloud or to yourself), "Cancel." Then replace it with a positive thought and gratitude. For example, if you get up in the morning and tell yourself, "I don't want to go to work - I hate this job." Immediately, say, "Cancel. I am so fortunate to have a job in this economy, and until I find a more suitable job, I am going to be grateful for the one I have and do my best."
  2. Pay attention to what you say to yourself and others. Recognize when you are having negative thoughts or expressing negative thoughts. What you think about expands. If you come into work everyday and talk about how tired you are, that is what will expand, and you'll be tired all day. If you complain about your boss with your co-workers, that is what will expand, and you will see more things to complain about.
  3. Take 100% responsibility for everything in your life - your job, your level of income, your family life, your physical appearance, your good health as well as your sickness. The list is endless. Everything that you experience in your life is because you brought it there. What you think about expands. If you are always saying, "I have no money, I can't afford that, I don't get paid enough," then you are responsible for what you have or do not have. So,when you find yourself complaining or feeling low about anything, say, "I am responsible for this, and I can change it if I want to."
  4. Don't take yourself so seriously. We all make mistakes, and we all do stupid things now and then. Learn from your mistakes. If you learn to take things in stride and laugh at your mistakes, you'll be much happier and the stress will start to disappear.
  5. Honor your commitments. You will inspire others to do the same.
